Below is all the departure information for London Road Travel coaches travelling to Wembley on Saturday 18th May.
The Kassam Stadium
Coaches 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11 & 14
The coaches will be at the front of the Kassam Stadium from 11.30am for a 11.45am departure. Each coach will be numbered, and a steward will tick you off as you embark.
Since the introduction of Parking Eye at the stadium, there is NO parking in the stadium car park. Free parking is available along the length of Grenoble Road in marked areas. Allow plenty of time to park and get to the stadium, bearing in mind those spaces nearest the ground will fill up first. Drop off any passengers with mobility issues before parking, especially if late.
Upon returning to Oxford, the coaches will drop off at the bus stop at the front of the stadium and the other bus stops along the length of Grenoble Road.
Redbridge Park & Ride
Coaches 6, 7, 8, 13 & 15
The coaches will be in the adjacent coach & lorry park – behind the Travelodge – from 11.30am for an 11.45am departure. Each coach will be numbered, and a steward will tick you off as you embark. Parking fees apply and must be paid within 10 minutes of arrival. For supporters being dropped off or picked up, the first hour is free but a ticket must still be obtained.
There are normally plenty of parking spaces close to the lorry & coach park. Payment machines are located close to a pedestrian walkway through the barrier near the rear of the Travelodge. There is also a bike rack here where you can lock your bike should you wish to cycle.
Thornhill Park & Ride
Coaches 9, 10 & 12
Coaches 9 & 10 will pick up from bus stop E, which is the other side of the London Road (A40) from Thornhill Park & Ride, at 11.45am. There is an underpass from just to the side of the entrance/exit from the park & ride next to the bike racks. Bus stop E is a five-minute walk from the main terminal building, where parking payment machines are situated. Parking fees apply and must be paid within 10 minutes of arrival. For supporters being dropped off or picked up, the first hour is free but a ticket must still be obtained. There are normally plenty of parking spaces close to the underpass in parking areas E, F & G. Because there is only space for two buses at a time at bus stop E, Coach 12 will pick up from bus stop F, which is on London Road, Oxford bound – the same side as the park & ride – and it will go around Headington roundabout once everyone has embarked.
Upon returning to Oxford, each of the three coaches will drop off at the bus stop F just outside the park & ride.
Returning from Wembley
Where you park at Wembley is where you will be picked up from, so remember where your coach is located.
Post-match the plan is for coaches to depart Wembley 30 minutes after the Oxford United players have left the pitch or when everyone is back on board, whichever is sooner. This will allow fans to show their appreciation to the team. There will be an emergency contact number given to travelling supporters so that anyone not returning on the coach for whatever reason can let their coach steward know the coach does not have to wait for them.
Places still available
If any supporter has not yet organised travel arrangements to Wembley, there are still places on the London Road coaches from the Kassam Stadium, the coach and lorry park adjacent to Redbridge park & ride, and the bus stops on the A40 outside Thornhill park & ride.
